Position Summary
Pilates Instructors are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supportive, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention.
- Monitor and instruct clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use of equipment.
- Conduct fitness consultations for new clients, including pre-participation screening and goal setting, to assess and recommend Pilates training programs.
- Instruct both private and group Pilates classes.
- Promote and sell Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes, and Personal Training to members.
- Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client's fitness plan.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Pilates studio.
- Remain current on certifications and new industry trends.
- Educate members on current health and fitness issues and trends.
- Ensure all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complimentary and paid services/programming.
- Document all aspects of client programming.
- Stay current on credentials and continuing education to advance throughout the levels program.
- Provide fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, education, and motivation.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of personal training experience.
- Experience in Pilates program design.
- Certified Pilates Trainer.
- Trained and Certified in Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Barrels.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- CPR and AED Certified.
Preferred Requirements
- 150 - 400 hours comprehensive Pilates Certificate (minimum education to include Mat, Reformer, Tower, Chair).
