South Suburban Parks and Recreation is seeking a motivated Mat Pilates instructor to design, implement and lead safe, engaging Mat Pilates classes for center participants of varying fitness levels.

The ideal candidate holds a current Group Fitness Certification or Mat Pilates certification, has experience teaching the specialty, and maintains CPR/AED. This position offers ongoing opportunities for growth and community impact.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Must possess a current Group Fitness Certification or Mat Pilates certification.
• Will have prior experience in instruction of specific specialty.
• First Aid certification is preferred.
• Has an understanding and knowledge of exercise science, nutritionand wellness to promote fitness and educate participants.
• Ability to communicate effectively to establish and maintainworking relationships with employees and the public.
• Will have knowledge of the principals and practices of fitness programming.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Graduation from high school or completion of GED.
• Current Group Fitness Certification or Mat Pilates certificationfrom an accepted national certifying organization and must bemaintained through Continuing Education Credits (CEC’s) as required.
• Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED required.
