Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Packaging bakery products for distribution to Publix stores.
• Operating palletizing equipment to stack containers on pallets.
• Moving, dumping, and scraping bowls and hoppers; ensuring pans are in place for product deposition.
• Placing product on the production line and applying icing and toppings.
• Cleaning equipment according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) using industrial chemicals.
• Accurately completing all required paperwork.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Other Compensation Information

A $.50/hour meal differential is paid if there is no cafeteria nearby. A $2.00/hour weekend differential applies for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday. Starting pay is $1.00-$2.00 above the pay range minimum, depending on experience or skill level.

Year-End Bonus

Publix offers a Holiday Bonus in November: 15 hours of pay in the first year, one week in the second year, and two weeks in subsequent years, provided the employee remains employed through the bonus date.
