American Traveler is seeking a PICU RN for a night shift travel assignment in Texas, requiring BLS, PALS, and at least 1 year of PICU experience. You will work in a hospital PICU, with 14-22 beds and varied cases, using Meditech EMR.

The shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for a 13-week assignment, with no on-call and weekend requirements every four weeks. Candidates must hold an active Texas RN license or compact license, current BLS and PALS, and be willing to reside outside a 50-mile radius.

Formación

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of recent PICU experience required.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsabilidades

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a hospital setting.
• Unit has 14-22 beds with staffing dependent on acuity and census.
• Cares for pediatric patients requiring procedures such as cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, and lumbar punctures.
• Manages seizure care and noninvasive cardiology cases.
• Unit also supports neuro, ortho, general surgery, and thoracic cases including thoracotomy/thoracoscopy and pectus bar implants.
• No neurosurgery, stroke, or foreign body airway removal cases handled on this unit.
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Requires working 4 weekend days every 4 weeks
• No on-call requirements
• May float to NICU Level 1 or 2 units only
• Deliver pediatric critical care within a supportive, collaborative team environment where staff assist one another
• Scrub color/attire is royal blue
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
