Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a PICU Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Portland, Oregon. The position supports critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients on a night shift, with 3x12-hour blocks and a 36-hour week.

The role requires PICU/NICU experience, BLS and RRT certification, and Epic EMR familiarity. NZRP/PLS are preferred; travel credentials and licensing will be managed per policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU/NICU experience required.
• BLS and RRT certification required.
• NRP and PALS certifications preferred.
• State license required if applicable; OR license accepted.
• Epic charting experience required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric and neonatal respiratory care across NICU, PICU, ED, and pediatric/adult units.
• Night shift: 12-hour blocks (18:45–07:15).
• May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliates per unit policy.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and manage ventilator support as needed.
• Assist and mentor other Respiratory Care Practitioners and students.
