Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUHA) is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support a decentralized, patient-centered approach under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Qualifications

• PCT I requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PCT II requires HS/GED and at least one of: Associate/Bachelor's degree, 1 year PCT I at MUSC CHS, 1 year healthcare facility experience, nursing school enrollment with Fundamentals completed, enrollment in healthcare field, CNA/CMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, performs multi-skilled activities to support a patient-centered approach.
• Reports to Nurse Manager and supports daily operations to achieve patient outcomes.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent (PCT I)

Associate or Bachelor's degree (PCT II)

1 year work experience in MUSC CHS PCT I

1 year experience in healthcare facility

Active enrollment in nursing school

Active enrollment in healthcare related field

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
