Job summary

Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on the night shift. This full-time role offers opportunities to care for critically ill children and to work within the Baptist Health system.

Ideal candidates have pediatric or cardiac telemetry experience, current RN license, and BLS certification; ACLS and CCRN are preferred. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred.
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience.
• Hospital Experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Responsibilities

• Providing patient care to pediatric population utilizing all aspects of the nursing process
• Supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
• Coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Including patients and families in developing and individualized plan of care
• Education of patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Serve as the patient advocate and responsible for providing care for critical patients that require a higher acuity of care
• Uphold the hospital mission statement
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
