Riley Children’s Health in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead and strengthen the PICU. This role partners with unit leadership to drive quality, safety, and patient-family outcomes while supporting frontline staff across all shifts.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, RN licensure in Indiana, BLS, and 3+ years of leadership or PICU experience. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth within a premier pediatric system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required.
• Requires an active RN license in Indiana or an active NLC RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Charge Nurse or other leadership experience preferred.
• PICU/ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Nurse Manager to establish, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives focused on quality, patient safety, affordability, and experience.
• Lead the execution of departmental goals and action plans across shifts.
• Foster accountability, engagement, collaboration, and professional excellence among nursing and interdisciplinary teams.
• Champion evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development to advance patient care.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, mentoring, and retention of clinical staff.
• Provide visible leadership with operational oversight across all shifts.
• Collaborate with physicians and leaders to ensure exceptional care delivery and outcomes.
• Participate in leadership coverage including weekends, holidays, and designated off-shifts.
