Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham is seeking staff to support our Critical Care PICU teams on the day shift. The role involves assisting with patient care and communicating with patients, families, and hospital staff under RN/LPN supervision.

Eligible candidates may have six months of recent patient care experience, be enrolled in a medical program with clinical rotations, or hold CNA/CMA/PCT/EMT certifications. Basic Life Support is desirable.

Qualifications

• Six months of patient care experience within the last two years.
• Enrolled in a medical related college program and in clinical rotation.
• CNA, CMA, PCT or EMT certification.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of RNs and LPNs to provide assistive care and communication for patients, team members, professionals, and visitors.
