Position Overview

We are seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts, based at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide pediatric critical care for patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses, including post-operative cardiothoracic surgery and transplant patients.
  2. Diagnose and treat patients in collaboration with physicians.
  3. Ensure continuity of care by coordinating communication among the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  4. Integrate research and best practices into patient care.
Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree with a Nurse Practitioner program completion.
  • Current Maryland RN license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in pediatric acute care.
  • Minimum of one year pediatric nursing experience; new grads with PICU RN experience are welcome.
  • Physician Assistant applicants must have completed a PA program and hold a Maryland PA license.
Additional Information

Salary range: $54 - $77 per hour. Benefits include tuition support and relocation assistance.

Located in downtown Baltimore, near the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards, with easy access to Washington D.C., Chesapeake Bay, New York, and Philadelphia.
