Job summary

The New Canaan Community Ymca is looking for passionate Pickleball Instructors to conduct dynamic classes for all ages. This role includes teaching skills, maintaining engagement, and ensuring a safe environment while fostering a community spirit.

Instructors should have experience in leading groups, possess strong communication skills, and ideally hold CPR/AED certification. The position offers flexible scheduling for weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong racquet sport background is acceptable.
• Coaching or pickleball certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, skill-based pickleball classes.
• Create and deliver skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Maintain a strong on-court presence.

Skills

Experience playing and/or teaching pickleball

Experience working with youth and/or adult groups

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to lead classes

CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
