Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Wisconsin seeks a warehouse associate to select lumber grades and lengths per pick lists, move materials from receiving to production areas, and organize stock to support efficient cutting and packing.

You will assemble customer orders, place items on pallets, and coordinate with packing and shipping to ensure accurate, timely delivery. Safety-sensitive position; cardholders for medical marijuana are not eligible.

Qualifications

• Reads pick list to determine items to be moved or gathered.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to saw or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials into designated area according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.

Job description

Individuals holding a Medical Marijuana Card are not eligible for this position as it is considered a safety-sensitive position. This position involves tasks that, if performed under the influence of drugs or alcohol, could expose the team member or others to serious bodily injury. This includes roles requiring the operation of machinery, power tools, working at heights, or driving as a regular job function.

Selects lumber grades and lengths in accordance with ‘pick’ lists provided by truss technicians to ensure saws are able to continually cut lumber by performing the following duties.

• Reads pick list to determine items to be moved or gathered
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to saw or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials into designated area according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.

Up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
