Job Opportunity: Picker/Cleaner

We are currently seeking a reliable and hard-working Picker/Cleaner to join our recycling facility team in Camden, NJ. This union position involves active, hands-on work requiring physical stamina and attention to detail. The shift is from 8 PM to 4:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sort and remove nonferrous and non-metallic materials such as trash, wood, paper, and plastics from conveyor belts.
2. Deposit recoverable materials into chutes or place onto conveyor belts for further processing.
3. Clean the recycling yard using rakes, brooms, and manual debris pickup.
4. Maintain cleanliness of conveyor belts and the facility during production.
5. Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

1. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
2. Basic math skills.
3. Capable of lifting and handling up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to meet the physical and environmental demands of the job.

Education & Experience

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Previous experience in recycling or industrial environments is a plus but not mandatory.
3. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
4. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Compensation

Position pay is $18.88/hour.
