Job summary

UFP Site Built in Lafayette, CO is seeking a General Labor associate to safely handle lumber products and verify material meets customer requirements and company expectations.

You will move, stack, label, and secure materials, maintain inventory records, participate in safety programs, and help keep the work area clean. No prior experience required, high school diploma preferred, 18+.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
  • Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
  • Labels material based on type, size, and count.
  • Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
  • Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
  • Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
  • Follows stacking instructions per company policy and customer requirements.
  • Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Records production on production sheets.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Assists with other work areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
  • Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Labels material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count
  • Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production
  • Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment
  • Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
  • Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
  • Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
  • Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
  • Records production on production sheets
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
  • Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as required

Compensation & Benefit Information

Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $17.5-19.50 dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay (appropriate item below would be inserted based on the job):

  • For sales positions: The percentage of incentive compensation that may be earned varies based on the customer account classification and is calculated based on collected gross profit.
  • For salaried bonus positions: Annual performance bonus opportunity based on Company and specific business unit ROI and PBOP achievement criteria and individual job responsibility and performance.
  • For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses.
  • A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
