Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders quickly and accurately, creating a smooth pickup experience for customers. You’ll work at the curbside pickup area and handle payment collection, greet customers, and maintain positive relationships with teammates and leadership.

We value a service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies. A high school diploma, 1 year of experience (retail preferred), and cash-handling ability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Able to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing) for extended periods.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous attitude and respond to questions.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders during the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items using standard procedures.
• Store and stage orders following food safety guidelines.
• Keep curbside area clean and ready for the next pickup.
• Assist with other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Digital Clerk, you’ll help drive customer loyalty and satisfaction by shopping their orders quickly and accurately, creating an easy pickup experience from start to finish.

You’ll:

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup Meijer Pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection the carside experience
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions and needs
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift
• Select items throughout the store, scan/verify products, and bag items appropriately using bagging standards
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

In short: you’ll turn online orders into easy, reliable, "right-on-time" pickups.

What You Bring

• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
