School of Rock North & South Palm Beach is seeking a Piano/Keys Instructor to lead music education, private lessons, and rehearsals at both Palm Beach locations. You will create engaging lessons, guide students through fundamentals, and help plan performances.

The role emphasizes working musician experience, strong customer relations, and a passion for teaching in a dynamic, performance-driven program. Weekend availability is needed, with opportunities to grow within the network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal with a wide range of customers and people.
• Strong organizational and customer relations skills.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.
• Passion for teaching music.

Responsibilities

School of Rock is a growing, passionate community dedicated to enriching lives through performance-based music education. With over 425 schools, and a strong internationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest after-school music education provider in the world. We put on shows to teach music! We are looking for a Piano/keys Teacher to join us at our School of Rock North & South Palm Beach location.

As a Piano/keys Instructor you will be responsible for all music education-related elements within the lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience to ensure students are challenged and inspired. The Piano Instructor/teacher positively embodies rock and roll and is responsible for creating a valuable student experience that helps our students learn music and life skills.

We teach five core areas at School of Rock - keys, vocals, guitar, bass and drums. Many of our instructors have broader musical talent as well which we do our best to engage.

Music Instruction:

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows
• Be sure the students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans

Customer Connection:

• Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons
• Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the school
• Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school
• Adheres to the School of Rock Code of Conduct, safety policies, including the Monitoring and Supervision policy.

Skill Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people
• Strong organizational skills
• Very strong customer relations skills
• Resourceful and good problem-solver
• Ideal candidate is a working musician who also has formal music school training
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
• Good judgment a must
