Job summary

Amgen seeks a PI Historian Application Owner – Manufacturing Systems Engineer to align the site data ecosystem with evolving business needs and technology roadmaps. You will lead data historian activities and design the technology landscape for manufacturing data integration.

Ideal candidates bring manufacturing IT experience, data integration skills, and familiarity with SI infrastructure; travel up to 25% is expected, with a focus on delivering robust, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in information systems, engineering or IT with progressive responsibilities.
• Knowledge of data historian technologies and integration tools preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing data integrations and validation practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and support Aveva PI Data Historian activities, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and issues resolution.
• Experience and understanding of information systems infrastructure services, fundamentals, and operations (Storage, VMs, Network, Active Directory, etc.).
• Own and craft the design and technology of the Technology ecosystem.
• Support and/or be responsible for the execution of a varied portfolio of Technology and automation platforms projects with appropriate portfolio planning, resource, risk management and financial management for the portfolio.
• Track industry and technology trends, connect with peers, and deliver insights to improve Amgen's capabilities.
• Support cross-system analysis, feasibility analysis, scope projects, prioritize deliverables, and recommend optimal solutions. Lead multiple initiatives and priorities.
• Manage relationships with technology service owners, business partners, enterprise technology service partners, and vendors.
• Elicit and analyze needs from business stakeholders and translate them into functional design.
• Manage technology platform activities including system administration, troubleshooting, vendor management, platform lifecycle and business requirements.
• Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
