Job summary

Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant II (Physiotherapy) to support therapists in preparing and delivering treatment programs for patients within the Physiotherapy department and wards.

The role involves assisting in patient care, conducting assessments, teaching patients and carers, transferring patients, and maintaining equipment and the treatment area. English and Chinese fluency, plus IT literacy, are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent and relevant training.
• Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.
• Possess Health Care Assistant Training / Care-related Certificate.
• Experience in direct patient care is preferred.
• IT knowledge with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists to prepare and carry out treatment programs and activities.
• Provide patient care, monitor condition and ensure safety and comfort.
• Carry out therapeutic assessments and rehabilitation groups.
• Teach and supervise patients and carers in therapeutic skills.
• Assist in transfers and in setting up equipment and education materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfect equipment; support data collection.
