Job summary

Wake Forest University’s Department of Health and Exercise Science invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor of Physiology and Anatomy, beginning July 1, 2027. The ideal candidate will teach human physiology, human gross anatomy, exercise physiology, and related labs including cadaver prosection. Candidates should hold a Ph.D.

or Ed.D. and have prior undergraduate teaching experience; ABDs welcomed.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching undergraduates in lecture and lab settings including cadaver labs.
• Ability to advise majors, mentor students, and contribute to an engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach physiology, anatomy, and exercise physiology with associated labs.
• Maintain a six 3-credit course teaching load annually.
• Advise department majors and mentor undergraduates.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service.
