About This Role:
Laurel Springs School is seeking an experienced, passionate, and innovative Physics educator to join our dynamic Science Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Physics and the capability to teach both standard and AP Physics courses to students in grades 9–12. This individual will lead weekly, engaging, synchronous lessons for both Physics and AP Physics students, provide targeted academic support, and actively contribute to curriculum review and development. The successful candidate will also create meaningful enrichment opportunities to deepen student understanding and engagement with Physics concepts. A commitment to academic excellence, student-centered instruction, and creative online teaching strategies is essential. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and guardians in a fully online, asynchronous learning environment that includes regular opportunities for live interaction. This full-time, 12-month remote position requires collaboration with the Science Academic Department Chair and fellow educators to ensure a cohesive and rigorous science program. Educators must be available during business hours (Eastern Time) to grade assignments, provide feedback, support students, contribute to curriculum projects, share ideas to enhance the program, and participate in meetings, office hours, and one-on-one student sessions.
