Ursuline Academy of Dallas is seeking a full-time Physics teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

Founded in 1874 by the Ursuline Sisters, Ursuline Academy of Dallas is an independent Catholic, college preparatory school for young women. The mission of Ursuline Academy is the total development of the individual student through spiritual formation, intellectual growth, service to others, and building of community. Ursuline Academy educates young women for leadership in a global society.

·at least two years teaching experience in Physics at the secondary school level and in-depth knowledge of subject matter; additional teaching experience in other sciences is a plus

·a bachelor’s degree in Physics, or related field; further degrees are preferred

·the flexibility to teach a variety of high school Physics courses and grade levels

We seek candidates who embrace a learner-driven pedagogy that embraces student voice and choice and a commitment to investing in teaching/learning relationships with students.

In addition to classroom responsibilities, full-time teachers at Ursuline Academy serve as advisors and actively participate in non-academic student activities such as moderating clubs, chaperoning events, attending student retreats and school-wide religious services, and supervising students. Ursuline faculty enthusiastically pursue professional development opportunities as they join a Catholic, independent school culture.

Teaching experience in a Catholic and/or independent school and/or all girls’ environment is strongly preferred.
