Job summary

Alignerr is seeking physics graduates to help train and evaluate AI models. This fully remote hourly contract role fits around your schedule, offering 10–40 hours per week.

You will design advanced physics problems, develop rigorous solutions, and evaluate AI outputs for scientific accuracy and reasoning, collaborating with researchers to refine benchmarks from undergraduate to Masters level.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a Masters in Physics or closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across physics.
• Ability to clearly write and communicate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced physics problems spanning mechanics, EM, thermodynamics, QM.
• Develop rigorous step-by-step solutions showing expert reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy and reasoning.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks from undergrad to Masters level.
• Provide structured feedback to help AI models improve over time.

We're looking for physics graduate students and degree holders to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your expertise in advanced physics will directly shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems — contributing to some of the most exciting AI research happening today.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed to fit around your existing schedule. Whether you're mid-degree or recently graduated, if you can think rigorously through physics problems, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Design advanced physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
• Develop clear, rigorous step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical soundness, and quality
• Collaborate with researchers to refine and expand benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps AI models improve over time

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across core and advanced physics domains
• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing
• Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating reasoning quality
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or academic research
• Familiarity with writing or reviewing technical problem sets
• Exposure to computational or theoretical physics research
