Job summary

Macmillan Learning is seeking a Physics Content Developer to support the creation of digital learning materials. This remote, U.S.-based role focuses on authoring lab procedures, crafting physics questions with solutions, and ensuring accuracy and clarity across educational content.

The ideal candidate has deep physics expertise and pedagogy, with experience teaching at secondary or post-secondary levels, and familiarity with digital tooling like iOLab.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge base in Physics.
• Experience teaching physics at the secondary or post-secondary level.
• Experience writing physics-related instructional or assessment content.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and author physics lab content to be used with the iOLab platform.
• Write clear, pedagogically sound questions and solutions of varying difficulty.
• Design hints and feedback that anticipate common student errors, diagnose misconceptions, and guide learners toward understanding.
• Review and edit digital content for scientific accuracy, clarity, and grammar.
• Provide constructive feedback to contractors and collaborators to maintain content quality.
• Create concise, accurate solutions to accompany questions and instructional materials.
• Enter and manage content (procedures, questions, hints, solutions, and feedback) in the software platform.
