Job summary

Jefferson Community and Technical College seeks an Physics Adjunct Instructor to teach introductory physics and labs primarily on the Carrollton campus in Louisville, KY. The position runs two days and one evening per week for the spring 2027 term, with on-site duties and required lab setup.

The candidate should hold an MS in Physics or complete 18 graduate hours; PhD and teaching experience are preferred. Training on Blackboard Ultra will be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Physics or 18 hours of graduate coursework in physics.
• Experience with BlackBoard Ultra and good communication skills is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory physics courses and physics labs in person at Jefferson Carrollton campus.
• Lecture, set up and run physics experiments, and maintain regular grade keeping.
• Deliver classes two days and one evening per week during spring semester 2027.
