Job summary

Nalley Consulting is seeking a Senior Physicist and All Source Analyst to support defense analytical requirements through advanced research, capability and limitation analyses, reverse engineering characterizations, and vulnerability assessments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of intelligence experience, or 12+ years without a degree, and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly. The work spans physics disciplines and briefing across partners.

Qualifications

• Experience performing all-source analytic production on nuclear programs and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to independently develop tailored deliverables and briefings.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for intelligence assessments.

Responsibilities

• Support physics-related analytics including astrophysics, biophysics, directed energy, and geophysics.
• Conduct research, modeling, and oversight of allied engineering disciplines on optics, acoustics, semiconductors, lasers, and weapons testing.

Position

Join the Nalley Consulting team as a Physicist and All Source Analyst. Position: Physicist and All Source Analyst.

Level

LCAT: Senior

Location

Reston, VA or Charlottesville, VA

Clearance

Required Clearance and polygraph: TS/SCI and CI poly required. Candidates with current CI poly conducted within the past 7 years strongly prioritized.

Experience and Education

Required experience and education: Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with intelligence, or 12+ years of experience with intelligence in lieu of a degree.

Description

Support defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific research, capability or limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis or characterizations, and facility and vulnerability assessments.

Responsibilities

• Support applied and interdisciplinary fields of physics such as astrophysics, biophysics, directed energy weapon s, and geophysics.
• * Conduct independent research, technical writing, modeling, and oversight or advising of allied engineering disciplines on fiber optics, acoustics, semiconductors, lasers, weapon s development, and testing, and identify the characteristics of hard and deeply buried targets.

Qualifications

Experience conducting all-source analytic production on nuclear programs, including production facilities, stockpiles, logistics, systems employment, security, and vulnerabilities of facilities and stockpiles * Experience with all-source analysis production, including analytic tradecraft, ICD 203 and 206, and DIA writing style

• Knowledge of applying and querying SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and HUMINT data sets and databases * Knowledge of nuclear weapon s programs, including nuclear weapon s effects, nuclear fuel cycle, and nuclear infrastructure
• Ability to independently develop high-quality tailored deliverables, including actionable leads, ICD-compliant written products, network charts, and formal or informal briefings * Ability to adjust to changing mission requirements and deliver products within a short time frame
• Ability to collaborate with other mission partners on production and take lead briefing at unique events
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam * Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with intelligence, or 12+ years of experience with intelligence in lieu of a degree

Other qualifications

• Experience countering missiles and delivery systems, advanced weapon s, and CBRN E
• Experience with data analytics and visualization
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
