Job summary

The South Bend Clinic LLC in Michiana is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedics team. A licensed Advanced Practice Provider with 1–2 years of orthopedics experience is preferred, though new graduate PAs are encouraged to apply, reflecting our commitment to growing clinical talent.

Work alongside supervising physicians to evaluate patients, order and interpret tests, assist in procedures, manage care plans, and educate patients on conditions and preventive strategies,

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited PA/NP program.
  • National certification in specialty (ANCC).
  • Indiana state licensure as a Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Nurse and RN.
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive skin examinations and develop care plans.
  • Order diagnostic testing, skin biopsies, lab tests, X-ray and other non-invasive tests.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and refer to specialists as needed.
  • Maintain communication with referring physicians while delivering care.
  • Prescribe medications within scope with physician oversight and licensure.
  • Counsel patients on conditions, treatment options, and prevention.

Our Orthopedics team is looking to add a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our collaborative team, helping to expand our high‑quality care and continue serving patients with expertise and dedication.

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant with 1‑2 years of orthopedics experience as a licensed Advanced Practice Provider in a clinical setting, while new graduate PA candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Education and Licensure:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • National certification in the applicable specialty (ANCC).
  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse and RN in Indiana.
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification.
  • Active mid‑level practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License (may be required).

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive skin examinations, conduct and interpret diagnostic testing, and develop care plans.
  • Order diagnostic testing, skin biopsies, laboratory, x‑ray, and other non‑invasive diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Initiate collaboration with supervising physicians and referrals to appropriate specialists when issues exceed the scope of practice.
  • Maintain communication with referring physicians while continuing to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Prescribe medications within scope of practice with collaborative physician oversight and necessary mid‑level practitioner‑controlled substance license.
  • Counsel patients on conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures, adjusting communication to the patient’s age, psychosocial, and cultural needs to achieve optimal health outcomes in accordance with practice protocols.
