Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited orthopedic residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (preferred).
• Active or eligible for Florida medical license.
• Knowledge of impairment ratings and Workers Comp documentation standards.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic injuries related to workplace accidents.
• Provide medical opinions consistent with Florida Workers' Compensation statutes.
• Perform orthopedic surgeries as indicated (if applicable).
• Determine Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI) and assign impairment ratings when appropriate.
• Develop and manage treatment plans, including referrals for diagnostic testing or interventional therapies.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with case managers, employers, and legal representatives as required.
