Job summary

The WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seeks a Vascular Surgeon to practice in Parkersburg, WV, with ranks available (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows and provide excellent vascular care.

Based primarily in Parkersburg, travel to additional sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania may be required to fulfill duties at those locations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
• Completed general surgery residency and a vascular surgery fellowship or residency.
• Board certified or board eligible in vascular surgery.

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek a Vascular Surgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Parkersburg, WV.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of vascular surgery. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed general surgery residency program, as well as a vascular surgery fellowship program or a vascular surgery residency. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in vascular surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
