Physician / Urology / West Virginia / Permanent / Urologist - Locum Job

Urologist - Locum

Position Overview: The physician shall be responsible for providing urology care, including but not limited to:

  1. Clinic and Surgical Care: Provide clinical urology services including surgeries, consultations, cystoscopies, and other related procedures. Be punctual for scheduled clinics and surgeries, with physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.
  2. Specialty Exams: Conduct direct patient care including specialty exams such as compensation and pension, agent orange, etc., related to urological conditions.
  3. Medications: Follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.
  4. Discharge Education: Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions, coordinated with the next care setting for all urology clinical or surgical patients.
  5. Quality Improvement: Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings, with details on time and frequency as required by the VAMC leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or district.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
