Job Summary

A urologist manages benign and malignant medical and surgical disorders of the genitourinary system and the adrenal glands. This specialist has comprehensive knowledge of and skills in endoscopic, percutaneous and open surgery of congenital and acquired conditions of the urinary and reproductive systems and their contiguous structures.

Job Duties

• Interview patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories. Perform and/or interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
• Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness. May prescribe or administer medications. Prepare, maintain, and review records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
