Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Urologist to manage benign and malignant disorders of the genitourinary system at its Medical Center. This role includes providing comprehensive urologic care, performing advanced surgical procedures, and participating in resident education.

Job description

Job Summary

A urologist manages benign and malignant medical and surgical disorders of the genitourinary system and the adrenal glands. This specialist has comprehensive knowledge and skills in endoscopic, percutaneous and open surgery of congenital and acquired conditions of the urinary and reproductive systems and their contiguous structures.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical and non-surgical urology care for patients at Geisinger Medical Center.
• Perform general and subspecialty urologic procedures, including robotic access, high-powered lasers, transperitoneal/fusion biopsies, Robotic Aquablation, Rezum in the office setting.
• Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents in our accredited urology residency program.
• Engage in clinical research and support evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with a team of advanced practitioners and support weekend call rotation (1:9) with partial AP/resident support.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Certified by the American Board of Urology.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Strong commitment to high quality patient care, resident and medical student education.
• Experience in endoscopic, percutaneous and open surgery in urology preferred.
