Job Description

At NorthBay Health, we are looking for a Board-Certified, Licensed Urgent Care Physician to join our respected health system in Northern California.

Our Urgent Care centers provide high-quality, immediate care for non-life-threatening conditions, with compassionate staff and easy access to a comprehensive network of specialists if needed. As part of our team, you’ll be integral in delivering timely care to patients in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Schedule and Responsibilities
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Outpatient only
  • Access to state-of-the-art medical equipment and comprehensive resources
  • Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assess urgent care needs and develop treatment plans
  • Order diagnostic tests and evaluate results
  • Monitor lab results and medication adherence
  • Prescribe treatments, therapies, medications, and vaccinations
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and test results
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed
  • Participate in hospital committees and initiatives
  • Supervise APPs to enhance patient care
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or related field
  • Licensed to practice in California
  • Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Compensation and Perks
  • Annual Compensation: $333,000
  • Supervision Bonus: $12,000/year per 1.0 FTE APP
  • Signing Bonus: Up to $30,000
  • Retention Bonus: Up to $30,000/year after 2 years
  • Relocation Bonus: Up to $10,000 (based on location)
