The Indian Health Service (IHS) seeks physicians to deliver compassionate, life-changing care to American Indian and Alaska Native people. Qualifications

• MD/DO degree or equivalent from a US/Canada-accredited medical school.
• Current, active medical license in a U.S. state or territorial license.
• Board certification preferred, not required.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert patient-centered medical care including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute, chronic, and preventive health needs within specialty.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated care.
• Perform specialty-specific diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or surgical procedures consistent with training and credentialing.
• Contribute to teaching, mentorship, and professional development of medical staff, students, and trainees.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical innovation initiatives.

Formation

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO) from US/Canada accredited school
