Job summary

The Indian Health Service (IHS) seeks physicians to deliver compassionate care across generations in service of American Indian and Alaska Native people. A minimum recruitment/relocation sign-on bonus is offered as you join our team.

You will provide expert medical care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage in teaching and quality initiatives to advance healthcare delivery within our facilities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent from US/Canada (accredited).
• Active, full medical license in a US state/territory.
• Graduate training (internship/residency) per AMA/AOA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert patient-centered medical care including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute, chronic, and preventive health needs within specialty.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated care.
• Perform specialty-specific diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or surgical procedures as trained and credentialed.
• Contribute to teaching, mentorship, and professional development of medical staff, students, and trainees.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to advance healthcare delivery.
