Job summary

CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, invites two Board Certified/Board Eligible Surgical Oncologists with head & neck focus to join a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers opportunities to treat complex cancers with state-of-the-art facilities and a strong referral network. Ideal candidates will have surgical oncology and/or head & neck fellowship training, be eligible for NM licensure, and demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology and/or Head & Neck Oncology preferred.
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Mexico.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.
• Excellent communication and collaborative practice skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad spectrum of surgical oncology and head & neck oncologic procedures.
• Lead and participate in a multidisciplinary cancer program.
• Contribute to building a regional referral program for complex cancers.
• Collaborate with medical, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology and supportive care teams.

Physician Opportunity: General Surgical Oncologist and/or Surgical Oncologist with Head & Neck Focus

CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center | Santa Fe, New Mexico

We are seeking two Board Certified/Board Eligible Surgical Oncologists with expertise in complex oncologic surgery and/or head & neck oncology to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care.

Scope of Practice

The successful candidate will perform a broad spectrum of surgical oncology and head & neck oncologic procedures, including:

Head & Neck Oncology Procedures

• Tongue cancer resections
• Oral cavity cancer surgery
• Parotidectomy and salivary gland tumor surgery
• Thyroid cancer surgery
• Neck dissections for regional metastatic disease

Surgical Oncology Procedures

• Melanoma surgery
  • Including Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy
• Colorectal cancer surgery
• Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC)
• Adrenal tumor surgery
• Gastric cancer surgery
• Soft Tissue and Retroperitoneal Sarcoma surgery

Candidate Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology and/or Head & Neck Oncology preferred
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Mexico
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cancer care
• Excellent communication and collaborative practice skills
