CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico Surgical Associates in Alamogordo, NM is seeking a Board-Eligible or Certified General Surgeon to join a physician-led, mission-driven team. This full-time position offers a mix of 60% outpatient and 40% inpatient care, with call responsibilities that are shared.

Expect a workload of 3–4 major elective surgeries per week and 5–10 outpatient procedures. The team comprises 6 physicians, 2 CNPs, plus supportive staff.

Qualifications

• Board status ABMS board-eligible or certified.
• Experience preferred: 2+ years in general surgery.

Responsabilités

• Performa colonoscopies (5-8 per day)
• Carry out major elective surgeries
• Perform outpatient procedures at the surgery center

Position Highlights:

• Work Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM-12:00 Noon
• Call: Flexible Shared Call Responsibilities
• Setting: 60% Outpatient, 40% Inpatient
• Average Operative Volume: 3-4 major elective surgeries per week and 5-10 outpatient procedures
• Team Environment: 6 Physicians, 2 CNPs, Manager, Clinical Coordinator, 5 Nurses, 1 Medical Assistant, 2 patient registration interviewers

Procedures Include:

• General Surgery and Acute Care Surgeries
• Colonoscopies (currently 5-8 per day)
• Major elective surgeries
