Physician / Surgery - Trauma / West Virginia / Permanent / Trauma Surgeon Needed with Academic Center!

This Institute for Academic Medicine is seeking a Trauma Surgeon for a full-time academic associate-level position in the Department of Surgery, Trauma, Critical Care, and Acute Care Surgery. The successful candidate will provide trauma surgery services at our academic healthcare institution and participate in educational opportunities for medical students and residents. The position involves joining our trauma group at an ACS-verified Level One Center with approximately 3,000 cases per year. Scholarly activities are highly encouraged.

Job Requirements:

  • MD, DO degree, or foreign equivalent from an accredited program
  • Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery
  • Board certification or board eligibility in trauma/surgical critical care
  • Passion for educating residents and medical students
  • Willingness to participate in academic, clinical research, or other scholarly activities as required of clinical faculty
  • Eligible for WV Medical License
