An established surgical oncology division seeks a dedicated board-certified surgeon with fellowship training in surgical oncology. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional clinical care while fostering the education of residents and medical students. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team focused on complex GI/HPB cases and a wide range of surgical oncology disciplines, including melanoma and breast surgery. Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible surgeon with fellowship training in surgical oncology to join an established surgical oncology division. In addition to delivering excellent clinical care, applicants should have a proven interest and ability to teach residents and medical students.
The successful candidate will join an active, collaborative clinical, teaching, and research program within the Division of Surgical Oncology, consisting of two surgical oncologists, two colorectal surgeons, one breast surgeon, and one PhD faculty. The ideal candidate will have a clinical focus in complex GI / HPB but will also be able to manage the broad spectrum of surgical oncology including melanoma, sarcoma, endocrine, and breast.
The Department of Surgery has an excellent general surgery residency program with five categorical residents in each year, who are competitively prepared for fellowships, academic positions, and private practice. The Brody School of Medicine matriculates 92 students annually and is approved for class size expansion and new medical education building construction.
