Physician / Surgery - General / Arkansas / Locum or Permanent / Acute Care Surgicalist opening in northeast Arkansas college town

We are looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care Surgicalist to join a hospital-based general surgery practice in northeast Arkansas. The role includes managing inpatient consults, performing emergency and acute care surgeries, and offering flexible scheduling with 14 shifts per month. The facility features state-of-the-art surgical suites, a new ICU tower, and is involved in a significant number of surgical procedures annually, enhancing its position in the healthcare community.

Opportunity Details:

• Employed inpatient surgicalist model (all shift work, no additional call)
• 14 days a month (flexible), 24-hour shifts
• Board-eligible or board-certified general surgeon
• Experience is preferred but not required
• Bread and butter general surgery emergency, acute care surgeries
• Cover only 1 facility
• On/Off flexible scheduling
• New Surgery & ICU tower & recently completed a $7 million surgery expansion
• State of the art surgical suites featuring all new equipment & cutting-edge technology
• The hospital performs about 10,000 surgical procedures each year
• Active hospitalist and intensivist programs to assist with medical management
• 4 Da Vinci Xi Robots & 1 new Da Vinci 5 Robot
• Hospital-based and inpatient-focused surgicalist:
• Managing inpatient consults
• Rounding on patients
• Covering emergent, acute care surgeries
