Job description

Leading Heart Program in Charleston is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its award-winning Cardiovascular team.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified candidates with experience in routine heart surgery procedures, thoracic procedures, valve (including TAVR and mitral).

Current Practice and Caseload:

• Works with multiple Cardiology groups, including Interventionalists, medical cardiologists, and leading EP and CHF specialists in the region.
• Annual volume of over 200 hearts, with case growth in 2022 outpacing population growth.
• 2022 caseload includes: 200+ CABG, 60+ surgical valves, 50+ TAVR procedures.

Infrastructure:

• 2 CVORs with dedicated CV Anesthesia.
• 3 PAs covering inpatient, outpatient, and surgical duties.
