Job Opportunity: Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Tallahassee, Florida

Seeking BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an established team of physicians. The hospital aims to expand its Cardiovascular Service Line by adding a 5th Cardiothoracic Surgeon.

The ideal candidate is an experienced physician with interests in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, minimally invasive robotic techniques, and working on the arch. Vascular services, TAVR, and endovascular services experience is a plus. Current opportunities are also open to recent Fellows.

Scope of Practice
  • Adult Cardiac Surgery: On and Off-Pump CABG, Mitral Repair, arrhythmia surgery, TAVR program
  • Thoracic Surgery: Minimally invasive lung resections, transhiatal esophagectomy, anti-reflux procedures
  • Vascular Surgery: Aortic dissection repair, endovascular and open surgeries
Practice Details
  • Call Schedule: 1:4 for practice, ER, and hospital
  • Hours: M-F, 8 am - 5 pm
  • Weekly Schedule: 1 day clinic, 4 days OR, inpatient management
Team Composition & Research

The practice is part of a larger multi-specialty group including cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular surgeon, and internal medicine physicians. The group is active in research, participating in over 100 clinical trials, and involved in medical education with faculty roles at Florida State University.
