Details: Regular, Full-time, 40 hours/week, Department: 500077 Peds Gastro/Hepatology/Nutrition, Shift: Day (UR - Day), Range: UR URCD 204 H, Compensation Range: $19.47 - $25.77/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide complex secretarial and administrative support in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Manage provider schedules, coordinate patient care, and handle clinic preparations.
  • Serve as primary contact for providers, managing calendars and prioritizing appointments.
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance needs.
  • Draft and manage non-routine correspondence, including appeals and medical documentation.
  • Arrange travel and speaking engagements for providers.
  • Research medical records and coordinate surgical schedules based on patient needs and urgency.
  • Prepare and confirm surgical orders and patient education details.
  • Serve as main contact for patients pre and post-operation.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma and 2 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience with medical terminology, surgical scheduling software (e.g., Flowcast), and electronic medical records preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Customer relations skills required.
