Position Details: Regular, Full-time, 40 hours/week, Day shift

Department: 500919 Clinton Alexander Primary Care

Compensation Range: $19.47 - $25.77 per hour

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Interaction: Greet patients, verify identity with two identifiers, assess needs, and ensure patient satisfaction. Protect PHI per HIPAA regulations.
  2. Data Collection & Entry: Gather demographic and financial info, enter into EMR, ensure forms are completed.
  3. Scheduling & Registration: Schedule visits, monitor schedules, pre-register patients, coordinate appointments and interpreters, and ensure patient satisfaction prior to discharge.
  4. Communication: Handle incoming/outgoing calls, manage telephone encounters, and relay information accurately.
  5. Administrative Tasks: Correct registration errors, assist with reconciliation, manage EMR processes, and serve as a resource for staff.
  6. Additional Duties: Escort patients, record vital signs, and perform basic documentation as verified by clinical staff.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma + 1 year related experience OR completion of Vision Care 1,2,3 courses OR equivalent education/experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Medical terminology familiarity (preferred)
  • Proficiency in word processing and data entry (preferred)
  • Customer service skills and ability to act as a resource (preferred)
