Job summary

Join Parachute, LLC seeks a Physician Substitute to join the Center Medical team at McComb, MS. You will monitor donor health, perform screenings and exams, and contribute to a safe, positive donor experience.

As part of a lean, high-growth team, you’ll work with center staff, be cross-trained across functions including phlebotomy, and have chances to take on broader responsibilities as the site scales.

Qualifications

• Must hold state licensure as RN/Paramedic/LPN/EMT as applicable.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/sit for extended periods.
• Weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and exams.
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed.
• Collaborate with center staff to ensure a positive donor experience.
• Maintain health logs and test results with clinical oversight.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant.
• Cross-train in phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station setup.
• Opportunity to take on more responsibilities as the site grows.

What You’ll Do

As a Physician Substitute, you will be a key member of the site’s lean team, responsible for donor health and safety and a critical part of the donor experience. You’ll work collaboratively with center staff to create a positive environment for the team and our donors. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed
• Work collaboratively with all center staff
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant
• Beyond your core responsibilities, you will be fully cross trained in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or higher education
• Certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced/Intermediate or Basic Emergency Medical Technician
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed
