Join Parachute is seeking a Physician Substitute at our Jackson, MS site to support donor health and safety in a fast-growing plasma donation operation. You’ll work with a lean center team to ensure a welcoming, compliant donor experience while maintaining high clinical standards.

As a licensed healthcare professional, you’ll cross-train across center functions and help drive patient care quality, safety, and efficient workflows in a dynamic environment designed for growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Current state license as RN/Paramedic/LPN/EMT or equivalent.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods.
• Weekend availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor health and safety; perform health screenings and physicals.
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed.
• Collaborate with center staff to ensure a positive donor experience.
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant.
• Cross-train in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation.

What You’ll Do

As a Physician Substitute, you will be a key member of the site’s lean team, responsible for donor health and safety and a critical part of the donor experience. You’ll work collaboratively with center staff to create a positive environment for the team and our donors. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed
• Work collaboratively with all center staff
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant
• Beyond your core responsibilities, you will be fully cross trained in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or higher education
• Certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced/Intermediate or Basic Emergency Medical Technician
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed
