Job Summary:

This role involves performing donor medical qualifications, assessing donor suitability, and managing donor reactions within the scope of Good Manufacturing Practice and FDA cGMP 21CFR.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing donor satisfaction through appropriate interaction and responsiveness.
  2. Evaluating donors for plasmapheresis and immunizations, ensuring compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and company policies.
  3. Explaining informed consent, including procedures, hazards, and reactions.
  4. Answering donor questions and respecting their right to refuse participation.
  5. Performing physical examinations and reviewing data to confirm donor suitability.
  6. Assisting with plasmapheresis and blood procedures, ensuring safety, documenting accurately, and encouraging repeat visits.
  7. Managing donor reactions promptly and effectively.
  8. Administering immunizations and monitoring responses.
  9. Providing confidential counseling to ineligible donors.
  10. Maintaining emergency medical kits and equipment.
  11. Communicating test results to donors and consulting with physicians on abnormal findings.
  12. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Excellent donor assessment skills.
  2. Ability to manage emergencies calmly and effectively.
  3. Current state licensure.
  4. Adaptability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
  5. Leadership and supervisory capabilities.
