Position OverviewThe Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire a Physician Specialist, Option D for the Elgin Mental Health Center located in Elgin, Illinois to practice as a medical specialist in psychiatry in providing services to mentally ill patients. Maintains compliance with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services certification standards and Joint Commission accreditation standards. As a medical specialist, conducts patient evaluations, orders and interprets laboratory tests and other medical diagnostic and psychometric procedures. Completes psychiatric documentation and reports in a thorough and timely manner. Evaluates, prepares, and attends court testimony. Participates in medical committees. Maintains compliance of Department and Center rules, policies, and procedures.
