Job summary

The University of California, Riverside, School of Medicine, Division of Clinical Sciences, is recruiting neurology clinicians to support inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in an academic setting in Riverside and surrounding areas. Fellowship training is preferred but not required.

The successful candidates must hold an M.D. or equivalent, be eligible to practice in California, and be board certified or board eligible by the ABPN.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of practice after residency training.
• Fellowship training in neuroimmunology/MS/neuromuscular/epilepsy or another subspecialty is not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurology clinical care in inpatient and outpatient settings at UCR and affiliated facilities.
• Support the UCR MS program and other clinical services.
• Contribute to an academic environment within the Department of Psychiatry and Neuroscience.

Position Information

The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) School of Medicine is recruiting neurology clinicians within the Department of Psychiatry and Neuroscience. We seek dynamic clinician-educators to support the inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in neurology within an academic setting. The successful candidate (s) will practice at UCR and/or UCR-affiliated clinical facilities in Riverside and surrounding areas. This includes UCR clinics, affiliated hospitals, including the UCR Multiple Sclerosis Program, which is designated by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a comprehensive multiple sclerosis care center.Fellowship training (in neuroimmunology/ multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular neurology, epilepsy, or another subspecialty) is not required. It is a preferred qualification.The successful candidate must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.A minimum of two years of practice post residency training from an accredited residency training program is required.Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and UCR affiliated hospitals.The full salary range for the Physician Specialist-Neurologist is from $118,100 - $302,700 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure, certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.They appointments are part-time, up to 50%.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
