Job Description

NorthBay Health is seeking a Board-Certified, Licensed Rheumatologist to join our esteemed healthcare team in Northern California. Located between the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, scenic Napa Valley, and the cultural city of Sacramento, NorthBay Health offers an ideal location for both personal and professional growth with a strong focus on work-life balance.

The Rheumatologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a broad range of musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions, providing both inpatient and outpatient care. Schedule

0.8-1.0 FTE, Full-time=40 hours/week (36 hours of patient-facing care and 4 hours of indirect patient care); 1 telehealth day optional.

100% Outpatient Clinic

Key Responsibilities
  1. Patient Care: Diagnose and manage a wide variety of rheumatic conditions demonstrating commitment, compassion, and integrity.
  2. Collaborative Care: Coordinate and communicate effectively with other providers and specialties to deliver comprehensive care.
  3. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to improve health outcomes. Provide guidance on managing chronic diseases and enhancing quality of life.
  4. Research & Innovation: Participate in clinical research studies and trials related to new treatments and therapeutic advancements in rheumatology. Stay informed on the latest research and implement evidence-based practices into patient care.

  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school, Completion of an accredited Rheumatology Fellowship Program
  • Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology
  • Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in California
