Reviewer Duties
  • Provide final determinations regarding medical necessity and quality of care issues.
  • Make fair and unbiased decisions based on current evidence-based practice and standards of care.
Basic Qualifications
  • Have at least five (5) years of full-time equivalent experience providing direct clinical care to patients.
  • Active clinical practice at least 20 hours a week (and board certification when applicable) for a minimum of 3 years, providing patient care in the specialty for which they will perform peer review.
  • Possess a current license or certification in a health profession from at least one State.
  • Board-certified as applicable MD/DO. Must have board certification within the specialty to be reviewed.
  • No active sanction or disciplinary actions on licensure.
  • Ensure that specialty qualifications, including role and responsibilities, are clearly listed in your CV/resume.
  • Must have a computer with adequate Wi-Fi capability and Microsoft Word.
